Experience China exhibition Tour comes to an end.

Experience China — A cultural exploration of Western China has come to an end. The tour has taken in locations such as Manchester, Dublin, London and Glasgow between the 18th and the 28th of July.

Showcasing Western Chinese culture, the tour included the show Dancing in the clouds featuring Chinese folk songs and dance performances. It also included a photography exhibition Colour of West China Photography and Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition celebrating Chinese photographers who have been recording the beautiful picture of western China.

There was also an opportunity to get close to traditional Tibetan artifacts and take in some of the documentary films on show such as ‘Born in China’ (a collaboration with Disney Nature) and ‘Roof of the World’ by Chinese film makers, Olive Image Studio.

The purpose of the exhibition is to show the current ways in which China is opening up to western culture using cultural exchanges. China is consistently developing in open mindedness by sharing some of it unknown cultural heritage. Experience China wants to show the China can be a multi ethnic inclusive culture and by sharing the heritage of its ancient civilization, it is hoped that Chinese culture have a positive effect on culture on the international stage.

Given the success of the Experience China exhibition, it is hoped that more on the international stage will be open to cultural exchanges in the future. Through these exchanges, the aim is to promote better understanding of diverse cultures and open the doors to the rich history of western China.

This is another step in the Chinese head of state Xi Jinping proposed “one by one” strategy to promote more economic and cultural exchanges that are widely inclusive and accepted by more countries on the international stage. Experience China is another element to helping to rebuild the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road which has drawn worldwide attention to develop new and renewed partnerships across the globe. With the continued promotion, the aim is to build a lasting partnership between Asia, European and African nation for global benefits.
